To make sure keep our dancers safe and our venue clean, please review our backstage guidelines listed below.
DROP-OFF & PICK-UP
Arrival Times:
Show 1 Dancers: Arrive by 12:30 PM
Show 2 Dancers: Arrive by 3:30 PM
KineDanCo Dancers: Arrive by 11:30 AM
Please ensure your dancer arrives with hair and makeup done and wearing their first costume no later than the specified times.
Cover-ups should be worn to prevent the costume from getting dirty between home and the recital venue.
Check-In Process:
Upon arrival, please check in your dancer at the front entrance, where you and your dancer will receive a matching lanyard. A Dance Dimensions staff member will then escort them backstage for their performance.
After the performance, dancers will remain onstage for a photo opportunity, where families are welcome to join for pictures. Once that’s done, the guardian with the matching lanyard will be guided backstage to collect the dancer’s belongings. Afterward, you’ll be escorted to the lobby. A studio representative will collect your lanyard at that point, and from there, you are fully responsible for your child. Thank you for your cooperation in helping us maintain a smooth and safe process!
The matching lanyards are designed to help us efficiently and securely reunite you with your child. We kindly ask that you return the lanyards at the end of the event so we can reuse them for future performances. As this is a new process, we appreciate your patience and understanding as we prioritize the safety and well-being of all our performers. Thank you!
Photo Opportunities:
A designated photo area will be available in the lobby before and after the show. Capture these special moments and share your photos with us!

While we’ll be busy backstage, we’d love to see and celebrate all your “Oh, The Places You’ll Go” memories!
WHAT YOUR PERFORMER CAN EXPECT
Backstage, our performers will have a cozy and safe space to wait with their friends, where they'll be taken care of by our team. They’ll have some fun activities to keep them busy, like coloring or playing with soft toys, while they wait for their turn to dance. We recommend bringing a small toy or quiet activity to help them stay happy and relaxed until it’s time to shine on stage!
No iPads or electronics are allowed.
BEHAVIOR EXPECTATIONS
While backstage, we kindly ask that all performers stay with their group and listen to their helpers to ensure everyone stays safe and has fun. It's important to use indoor voices, keep hands to ourselves, and wait patiently for their turn to perform. We want everyone to feel calm and ready to shine on stage!
FOOD & DRINK
Dancers should refrain from bringing snacks or drinks backstage, except for water or clear liquids, to avoid any spills or stains on their costumes. Any bottle brought backstage must be labeled with dancer's name. If you think this might be a concern for your dancer, please reach out to us so we can make accommodations for your dancer.
Don't worry—KDC dancers and dancers in both shows will have a scheduled break to eat in between performances, so there will be time to enjoy some food!
